QHR 2020/21 UPDATE 2020 has been a year that has surprised, stunned and shocked us all. Unfortunately, it has meant that many clubs, associations and groups within the vintage machinery movement have had the difficult decision of postponing and cancelling their events, rallies, social get togethers and meets. Sadly, another casualty of COVID-19 has now been announced. The Burdekin Machinery Preservationists Inc. have, after much thought and consideration, decided to forego the opportunity to host the Queensland Heritage Rally (proposed for July 2021, after being postponed due to COVID-19 earlier this year). This decision was undoubtedly a difficult one in light of the ongoing restrictions and financial uncertainty surrounding large scale events at this time. The Queensland Heritage Rally Steering Committee wish to thank the Executive, Members, and the QHR Rally Committee, for their best efforts in such unfortunate times. We will all look forward to another time when we can head north to celebrate what Queensland has to offer for machinery enthusiats and collectors/restorers alike. QHR 2022 Hopefully 2022 will bring with it a renewed vigour for events and all things pertaining to history and heritage. The Queensland Heritage Rally Steering Committee is currently reviewing submissions for the 2022 Queensland Heritage Rally and will make an announcement as to the successful host at the end of November, 2020. In the meantime, however, please fee free to contact Mr Craig Cooper, Chairman, Queensland Heritage Rally Steering Committee, if you have any questions or would like to know more about this great event. Mr Cooper can be contacted via email to qhr@bigpond.com.
